How does bit rate help you improve your security camera System?
To get the best quality resolution and crisp clear images, your bit rate settings must be set correctly. For the most part default settings should get you the best possible image quality. However if you like to tinker with your settings you first must understand how bitrate works and affect your images.
Bitrate is the reason two cameras with the same resolution capture completely different footage.
If you see pixelated or low resolution security footage, that is because the bitrate is low and not processing the image properly to superior quality, thus showing poor-quality footage.
Higher the bitrate the better quality image will be shown.
Even though your surveillance cameras are technically recording in 5MP, 8MP or 12MP you will get a drastically different output depending on the bitrate.
Set the right bitrate so you don’t miss any details and capture a blurry image.
This sheet is useful for user who has high requirement for bit rate settings. If the real environment is complex, you can increase the bit rate 20%~30% higher than recommend. The above value is suitable for all series GW Cameras.
