RMA, Returns & Refunds

WARRANTY COVERAGE

All GW Security products are protected by a 2-year product warranty beginning on the original purchase date. If a GW Security product is determined to be defective, GW Security will provide replacement with the same model as originally purchased or similar model within the 2-year warranty period.

  • Only products purchased directly from GW Security, from the following e-commerce platforms when GW Security is the seller: Home Depot, Walmart, New Egg, Ebay, or from our authorized seller Camstar Technology via Amazon are protected by warranty.
  • The warranty applies to the original purchaser only and is not transferable.
  • The warranty applies to all new GW Security branded products.
  • The purchaser has 30 days from the date of purchase to report receiving the wrong item/s or to report missing parts or item/s.
  • Replacement item/s sent within the first 90 days of purchase will be new and of the same model as originally purchased or similar model. Replacement item/s sent after 90 days may be a fully tested, refurbished unit of the same model as originally purchased or similar model.
  • All RMA replacements will be shipped via UPS, FedEx or USPS standard ground shipping.
  • If an extended warranty was purchased from a third party, you must contact the warranty provider directly.

WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER:

  • Normal wear, abrasion, misuse, alteration, abuse, or issues resulting from inappropriate dismantling of the product, or any damage caused by the unintended use of the product.
  • Damage caused by improper care, mishandling, improper storage or improper installation.
  • Damage caused by severe weather, accidents, prolonged UV exposure, or the natural breakdown of certain materials over extended periods of time.
  • Power fluctuations, power outages or any electrical incidents.
  • Item/s that have been altered, modified, painted, disassembled inappropriately or damaged by the user/owner/purchaser.

RETURNS/REFUNDS

You can request a refund or exchange within 30 days of the purchase date.

  • Within 30 days customers can return item/s still in the original packaging.
  • All returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee if the item/s are not in the original packaging or appear used.
  • Within 30 days customers can get a refund for defective item/s.
  • After 30 days replacement is the only option for defective item/s.
  • Return/Refund for international orders will have the initial shipping charges deducted from the refund amount.

WARRANTY REPLACEMENT & RETURN/REFUND REQUESTS

Requirements:

  • Item/s must have been purchased directly from GW Security, approved e-commerce platforms when GW Security is the seller or Camstar Technology via Amazon. You will need to provide an order number or copy of the invoice.
  • All requests for warranty replacement or return/refund requests require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) before sending item/s back. All RMA requests must be approved by a GW Security technical support team member.
  • To contact our technical support department you can send us an email to [email protected], through our live chat https://www.gwsecurityusa.com or by calling in to speak to a technician Monday thru Friday 6:00 am to 4:45 pm Pacific Standard Time.
  • Once the RMA is approved you will receive an email with the RMA number and all the instructions to complete the RMA process. The RMA number you receive in the email must be on the outside of the box and included in the box with the returning item/s.
  • Only send back the item/s listed in the email received from the RMA department.
  • GW Security is not responsible for item/s received without an RMA for the specific item/s. The customer will be responsible for any shipping costs to return item/s sent in without a Return Merchandise Authorization or RMA.

WARRANTY & RETURN/REFUND POLICIES

  • Any item/s returned for refund that are not in the original packaging, appear used, missing item/s or accessories will be subject to a 20% restock fee. Restock fee is waived for item/s returned within 30 days of purchase that were determined to be defective by a GW Security technician at the time the RMA was requested.
  • GENERALLY, YOUR REFUND WILL BE PROCESSED BETWEEN 3 – 5 BUSINESS DAYS AFTER RECEIPT OF THE PRODUCT TO OUR RETURNS NOTE THAT IT MAY TAKE ANYWHERE FROM 5-7 BUSINESS DAYS FOR A REFUND TO POST TO YOUR SPECIFIC PAYMENT ACCOUNT.
