IR range and image quality can be affected by surfaces that absorb or reflect the IR light differently when in total darkness. Camera location or position may need to be adjusted to optimize the images. Some ambient lighting provides the best results for night surveillance.

Setting up the system is pretty easy, took me about 1.5 hours to complete. The email alert can be a bit tricky……

Works well if you block its access to the internet, as it contains malware, and is completely COMPLETELY insecure. Unencrypted password authentication over the network, all SOAP requests completely visible, passwords transmitted in cleartext… It’s an absolute mess of a security product, network-wise. Having said that, the image is pretty darn good, it comes with h265, and despite a few quirks, is built like a brick shithouse.

So far, they are working great and nice picture quality. I really need a 4K tv now. The installation was simple and the app was very easy to setup as well. Really no customization was needed. My only thing so far I’m not happy about is my wireless USB mouse wouldn’t work, so I ordered one that someone on a forum commented that it works.
