I have some cameras on the network and some connected directly to the POE ports on the GW78 series NVR. The Cameras connected directly to the NVR are up but the ones on the network are not reachable from the NVR. Do I have to make the cameras on the network to have the same Local IP as the NVR or the same Network IP of the NVR

For cameras connected to external POE switch, the IP addresses of the cameras need to match the local network. The easiest way to do this is from a PC or laptop. Use the IPC tool for the model series of cameras you are connecting and set the cameras to DHCP so the router can automatically assign the cameras IP addresses. The IPC tool can be downloaded from our website support page. The NVR should easily find the cameras once they are on the proper IP addresses. If you still cannot find your camera or have other question, please send email to our tech-support department! Their email is support@gwsecurityusa.com.

You can do both, but if you won't connect with NVR POE port, you need to make sure this camera connect with POE switch!

2. please check you cable is connected and the indicator light is turned on!
