68 Series NVR Firmware Update — Important Post-Update Step

⚠ Read this before continuing

After updating the firmware on your 68 Series NVR, the Alarm setting may be disabled.

You must re-enable the Alarm option in the NVR settings or your NVR will not record triggered events. Follow the steps below to verify and re-enable.

What you’ll need

Direct access to your NVR — either at the unit itself with a monitor and mouse, or desktop software. The whole process takes under 60 seconds.

Step-by-Step

1
Log in to the NVR

Use your admin credentials to access the main menu. From the main menu, locate the Alarm section, then select General.

Locate the Alarm section and click General
2
Enable the Alarm option

Inside the General settings page, toggle the Enable Alarm switch to the ON position. The toggle will turn blue when enabled.
3
Click Apply to save

In the bottom-right corner of the page, click the Apply button. Your alarm setting is now active and your NVR will record triggered events again.

Toggle Enable Alarm (step 2), then click Apply (step 3)

That’s it

Your NVR is now recording triggered events again. There is nothing else to change after a firmware update — this single setting is the only one that reliably resets, and re-enabling it is all that’s needed to restore full event recording.
