20X Digital Zoom
Digital zoom is available when used with our security DVR recorders and is useful for HD security cameras with resolutions of 1080P and higher. Since higher resolution cameras and the better the quality of the digital zoom produce the most detailed images.
While digital zoom can be done after video has been recorded, optical zoom needs to be executed or set in live video at the actual moment the incident of interest happens.

2.8mm-12mm Varifocal lens
A 2.8~12mm Manual Zoom Varifocal Lens offers much more flexibility than cameras with a fixed lens and allows you to adjust the angle of view between 125 degrees to 37 degrees.
A smaller lens value shows a shorter viewing distance with a wider field of view angle; a larger lens value allows for a further viewing distance but a narrower field of view angle.

For the price, I feel this is an excellent camera model. I’m using these for replacing a legacy COAX setup at my company, doing all the work in-house.
We’re using Synology Surveillance Station on our Diskstation, and these cameras work perfectly with it.
Some feedback:
– The installation is easy once you know what you’re doing, but I really wish they would offer documentation for how to do it, especially how the lens adjustments work. All they include is instructions for configuring the software. That being said, I reached out to their support and they very quickly sent me some rough documentation they had made. Still, I think this could be a big improvement for them.
– The optics are very good, with the varifocal lens, you can can dial in your FOV just right. Having to do so manually is a bit less convenient than PTZ, but ultimately I don’t think it would have made sense for my company to pay for cameras with motorized lenses when we could just manually position them once.
– The “live cam” frontend is very weird with performance. We started connecting them to the DVR system and then using the live view from there, because the built-in frontend lags like crazy. This isn’t a big issue to me, but it does feel like an area for improvement.

This was the first time for me setting up a surveillance system and I had several questions. Customer service was very informative and quick to respond to my questions.. Highly recommended for the product , its features and great customer service to boot.

So far, they are working great and nice picture quality. I really need a 4K tv now. The installation was simple and the app was very easy to setup as well. Really no customization was needed. My only thing so far I’m not happy about is my wireless USB mouse wouldn’t work, so I ordered one that someone on a forum commented that it works.
