Data also travels both ways through an Ethernet cable, PoE software not only sends data and commands to devices, but it also collects data. IR range and image quality can be affected by surfaces that absorb or reflect the IR light differently when in total darkness. Camera location or position may need to be adjusted to optimize the images. Some ambient lighting provides the best results for night surveillance.

Bought this camera thinking it was a 3.6mm lens when in fact it was a 2.8mm lens. I was told that some batches came in as 2.8mm. Interesting how two different focal lens could be the same model number. I guess it’s eeny, meeny, miny, moe and here ya go.

Sorry for that, 2.8mm is better than 3.6! 2.8mm have a large view angle!

Yeah thanks for your opinion that the 2.8mm is better than the 3.6mm. Too bad that is not true. I needed the camera for a very long and narrow driveway where the 2.8mm captures useless areas. for that application.
